Fashion Tips : Shoes you'll definitely "fall" for. (*pun intended)

Fall is around the corner already, teasing us with breezy winds and fallen leaves. Even though it's a perfect weather nowadays to just chill and drink some warm chai latte in your couch with a snuggy, the show must go on. And what would be better than stepping on the new season with some nice pair of booties.

You could never go wrong with a fresh pair of Jimmy Choo in any season. But for this fall, you will definitely drool over this one. It is called the Wister Ankle Boots and it has some snakeskin effects all over it. It's actually a simple looking bootie but with a twist. The zigzag design kinda makes it look edgier and rock glam-ish. If you "fall" for the Wister Ankle Boots, you can get it on net-a-porter.com for 775€.

If Jimmy Choo's Wister Ankle Boots is a bit uncomfortable for you while strutting along the street, covered in dried leaves, this ankle boot with a wedge heel from Lanvin will be an alternative for you. The wedge itself is not that high, around 8cm, and the color itself is also classy and timeless but not boring. I mean, how tired are you looking at black booties? (I mean shoes, not, you know..) Other than that, it cost a lot cheaper than Wister Ankle Boots at 490€ at net-a-porter.com.

I know that sometimes people are scared of booties because it makes the legs look shorter. But this won't be an issue no more with this cut-out satin ankle boots from Gianvito Rossi. Not only it looks beautiful, it will also make your legs look beautiful too, plus at the same time giving your feet a cover for the harsh weather during fall. This multibeneficial boots is available at net-a-porter.com for 540€.

Lastly, if all of the above failed you, then go Gucci. It looks edgy and classy at the same time. Plus, don't you think the metal part in front is just romantic? Also the color is not a boring black so you won't look as if you haven't changed your shoes for the whole fall. Go grab one of these while it's available at net-a-porter.com for 585€!

You know that just like the temperature, this fall your savings will also fall to zero..

Seeing Double : Laced with Lacey

Do you have a lace fetish?

I looooovveeee me some laces. Especially stilettos with laces. Super sexy! But which one is the best one? I will give you some of the best examples here. (Since there are literally thousands of lace shoes, this time I'll limit myself only with some pumps).

The first one would be from Christian Louboutin, the pump is called "Ambro" Leopard Lace Peeptoe Pump. Wow that's a mouthful.

Isn't she beautiful? But like always, with beauty come a heavy price. This time it's 775€. If you're up for something simple yet elegant, this would be it.

The second one would be the hip and happening Jimmy Choo "Faith" Lace and Patent Leather Peeptoe Pump.

This one is sexier and edgier than Louboutin Ambro. Look at the curvy lines around the edges. Have you seen anything more seductive than that?

And talking about lace shoes would be a sin without mentioning the legendary Valentino Lace Court Shoe.

I mean...

How dreamy is that?! Looks like something out of fairy tale story. This shoe is perfect for a statement look. Like if you wanna impress your stylish boss or show your ex what he's been missing or so on.

There are still thousands of pretty lace shoes that I can't show one by one. But just for fun..

Which one would you choose and why? Let me know!

You know you want to be laced with all the lacey shoes..

Must Have Item : Louboutin Nail Polish

I know that everyone had been raving about this everywhere so I think I just have to do it in honor of Monsieur Christian Louboutin.

So the nail polish bottle cap itself was inspired by the highest stiletto ever designer by Mr. Louboutin that is called the "Ballerina Ultima". I have to say that it looks somehow a bit kinky in a way.

The Louboutin's nail polish supposed to be the new It nail polish of the year, or even forever. According to the representative of Christian Louboutin, all of the polish were "formulated without any harmful ingredients, so that the highly pigmented, long-wearing nail polish dries to a luxurious lacquer."

From what I've heard, the polishes will cost around 50€. I have to be honest that I'm not that sure if it's true, but if it is true then I will expect the polish to stay on for at least a week without any rub-off and it will take only two layers top for a glossy finish and one layer for an opaque one.

Sources said also that it will be available in 30 different colors, so you don't have to worry that you won't find your favorite color. Just start worrying about the sake of your wallet.

If you are up for something dramatic for your own polish collection, I think this will be it. I mean, for the signature color, the "Rouge Louboutin", they created an 8-inch bottle cap, which would be a similar height to the heel of "Ballerina Ultima". The caps for other colors are slightly shorter but still just as dramatic. So I would not suggest this as your next carry on touch up polish, or else you would have to be prepared with having loads of explaining to do.

Check out their just-as-dramatic fashion video of this product, in a collaboration with David Lynch.

You know from now on you can match your nails with your red soles..

Drooling over these couture candies? Who wouldn't?

Anastasia Radevich, the mind behind these dreamy pieces, came originally from Belarus, then moved to Montreal, Canada. She studied in London College of Fashion, with a major in footwear design. With that international experience, no wonder she's THIS creative. But her story doesn't end there. Guess who her mentors are? Alexander McQueen, Nicholas Kirkwood and Bolongaro Trevor (Creator of the brand "All Saints"). Hmm no wonder..

She spent several years under the wings of the legendary Mr. McQueen himself. Then she spent another several years under the creativity supervision of Nicholas Kirkwood, which was also mentored by McQueen years ago. And let's not forget the marvelous Bolongaro Trevor and his awesome brand, "All Saints".

To think that I used to dream about being a shoe designer. She would be one of my business contender. And Kirkwood, Louboutin, Blahnik, Zanotti, and the list goes on and on and on.

Oh and did I mentioned that Radevich also created a shoe that lights up also, like we used to have when we were younger? But she twisted it into a couture way, it's so breathtaking. I mean, look at it.

Honestly, how cool is that?! And not to mention the lasercut heel and platform made this shoe really look like it's from out of this world.

You can control the lighting through the inside of the shoe. There's someone posted a video in youtube but it's pretty dark. I hope you can still see the system.

I could write pages and pages about how awesome her creations are but I guess you it'll ruin the image of hers so I will stop while I still can.

You know her shoes made your jaw dropped..

Ugly Shoe of The Month : Dior Red Nylon and Fur Moon Boots

August 2014 Issue

I always thought that Dior could never do harm to fashion. I thought I could always trust Dior for elegance and opulence. Well, apparently I was wrong. Dior's Red Nylon and Fur Moon Boots is the proof.

I tried to do some research before I posted this review but clearly the world hated this boots more than I do beause there are almost no information of how much did this trainwreck cost, from which season it was, who was responsible for this mess, etc.

Well, nothing except the news from waaay back in 2008 that Mariah Carey wore this boots during her 2008 annual christmas trip in Aspen, Colorado. I shouldn't explain more. I mean, Mariah Carey wore it. With a matching red jacket. In 2008.

I don't know which one is more cringe-worthy, the red boots itself or the fact that it's clearly snowing like no tomorrow in the picture and still she's trying to show her cleavage. But then again, obviously silicone has a really high tolerance against cold weather. So at least her career is the only thing that is frozen, not her feet and neither her cleavage.

You know this boots will haunt your dreams for the next weeks..

Must Have Item : Givenchy Black Velvet "Matilda" Sandal with Lizard-Printed Leather

Prepare to gag for this edgy sandal from Givenchy's A/W 2014 Collection called "Matilda".

I can't decide which one looks cooler, the lizard-look leather or the gold statement heel. The bold combo in the back with a contrast from the tame and conservative-ish look of the front part, this foot candy tells us millions of stories in one look.

The separation between the heel and the leather part somehow created an illusion that the heel is not that high, but apparently it's around 11cm high without any platform. So this is definitely not the right shoe for a long day of standing up.

If you're enticed by the beauty of "Matilda" sandal, you should prepare yourself with €895 of spare change. It's still available at net-a-porter.com.

You know you are so tempted by this beauty..

Kisses,

Fashion History : Extreme Heels

Extreme heels are a modern thing? Think again!

Humans are always fascinated by extreme heels since the dawn of ages. Why? It shows higher social status, dominance, power, or even sometimes vulnerability. Whatever the reason was, the fetish of wearing high shoes runs in our blood.

My personal favorite would be the italian chopine from fiorentini. Reminds me so much of Lady GaGa's ballet platform shoe from the video "Marry The Night". Do you know which one I meant?

Yep. That one. It's a custom made piece from a japanese designer, Noritaka Tatehana. The shoe itself is called "Lady Pointe" and it's 18 Inch high. Simply an artwork.

Which one is your favorite and why? Write in the comment section and let me know!

You know you can blame our stilettos obsession on our genes from now on..
